What are your opening hours?

Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm, Saturday 8am – 1pm.

How do I open an account?

If you'd like to hire from us on a regular basis with up to 30 days' credit, please visit the Hire Shop to collect an account form or alternatively contact us and one will be sent out to you.

What forms of identification do I need when hiring equipment?

Before any delivery or collection, you will need to provide two forms of identification - one photographic and one proof of address.

Examples of ID we accept are: passport or driving licence for photographic and a credit/debit card or a utility bill (dated within the last six weeks) for proof of address.

How can I pay and when do I pay?

Cash or debit card

You can pay with a credit or debit card at the hire shop, or over the phone prior to collection or delivery.

Credit card

We accept most major credit cards for hire or purchase of any products or services. 
30-day account.

If you would like to hire from us on a regular basis with up to 30 days' credit, please visit the hire shop. 

When should I book the equipment?

Please book as early as possible, especially for summer and bank holidays.

You can reserve by phone.

Do I need to leave a deposit?

Yes, a deposit is charged for all equipment. This is refunded when the equipment is returned, minus the hire cost. The amount will depend on the equipment hired.

How much does Delivery & Collection cost?

Our rates for delivery and collection vary depending on your location; you can receive a quote from the hire shop.

Deliveries are normally made from Monday morning until Friday afternoon.

What is my responsibility regarding the return of equipment?

Equipment remains on hire, and therefore chargeable, until it is returned to Oaks Plant Hire.

If you require a collection, please call 01732 459921 and ensure you obtain an off-hire number.

The security of any equipment remains your responsibility until it is collected by us or has been returned.

Does the equipment need to be cleaned before it is returned?

Yes, we ask that you clean equipment hired from us before returning it. A cleaning charge will be levied if equipment is returned dirty.

How do I off-hire an item of equipment?

Finished with the kit you have hired from us? Simply call 01732 459921 and give us your name or reference – we will end the hire and give you an off-hire number.

The equipment will be collected at the earliest opportunity convenient for you – usually the next working day.

How do I make a complaint?

We work hard to please our customers. However, if you do not feel your hire experience was everything it should have been, we would like to know so we can do something about it.
